Position Title: Senior Currency Economist
Location: New York, may require occasional travel within North America
Min Education: BA, MA/MBA or equivalent of 3 years within a research background, either within a bank or an independent research group forecasting FX trends and/or global portfolio flows.
Field of Study: Economics, Finance Theory
Min Years Exp: 3 Years; Ideal candidate will have worked in a research environment, either in a bank or in an independent research boutique (or potentially govt/quasi govt institution such as IMF or US Treasury) and have solid experience using macro-economics to identify currency trends/developments. Particularly useful would be experience as a currency overlay manager on the buy-side, managing risk for global portfolios.

Writing Sample: At least two articles, show-casing depth and sophistication of FX macro- economic analysis/forecasting
Job Description: Currency Economist will be based in NY and will be tasked with producing innovative, though provoking articles on global FX trends and forecasts for future direction. This position will be working alongside a Currency Strategist who is responsible for shorter term FX activity and Currency Economist role calls for a creative thinker to introduce new themes within a much analyzed field.
